Hi all,

I'm having a problem with the texturing on the J69 locos which I cannot seem to solve.

The problem only occurs once the model has been exported into Trainz and manifests itself as a 'shadowed' box surrounding various components of the model. This is affecting all four of the locos, each having different textures and various differences in meshes. The textures appear perfectly in GMax. Here's a screenshot of the problem in Trainz:

If anyone has an idea of why this happens and how to solve it then any help will be gratefully received :)

Ali (Gotty)

btw, the issue is not just related to the components in the screenie, other parts are affected like the chassis, the dome, chimney and, to a lesser degree, the side panels. The wheels, boiler, pipework and whistle don't seem to be affected.

to me that looks like the shadow mesh,

have your locos got the shadow mesh?

if so it looks like the cab shape is bigger that the original cab in the original mesh

if you redue the size of it you shouldnt see it in TRS,

i have had this problem before, and it seem to solve it

Hope this helps

Perfect Chris!

It was the shadowmesh and it's now been tweaked. The models show perfectly in Trainz now :)

Thanks for the help - I was going around in circles trying to solve it.

Cheers!
