Go to Shapes - Line. Go to Top view and draw a triangle shape to your liking, then go into the modify tab with the triangle selected, press the "Extrude" button, then right click in the selection window (where 'Extrude' came up) and hit "Collapse All".

If it's not the correct size, you can either scale it or alter the vertexes.

You could also, as it is now a mesh, go to the modify tab and collapse the "Editable Mesh" field. Click on "Polygon" and then click on the triangle. Using the directional arrows on screen will render it in 3D.

This is a screen shot of what I have been doing. I am just trying it out for the first time so nothing is in scale.

Right use side view than draw a triangle using line. Make sure you join the two ends of the line up then extrude it you should the get a solid triangle from one side to the other you can adjust the depth of the extrude to suit
